What is Dead by Daylight

Dead by Dawn is an amazing asymmetric survival horror game. It's brought to you by a small studio developer, which means it's right in between triple-A games and indie games. Basically, you get a complete, incredible game at an indie game price.

This particular game is on the more unique end of survival horror in that it's not only multi-player but 4 on 1. You can choose to play as the killer, which consists of several choices between the Hag, the Shape, the Nurse, the Hillbilly, the Wraith, or the Trapper. Or you can choose to play as a survivor, which consists of Ace Visconti, Laurie Strode, Nea Karlsson, Claudette Morel, Dwight Fairfield, Meg Thomas, or Jake Park.

Each player character comes with special perks, which can be unlocked and upgraded. To do this, you must earn bloodpoints to use in the Bloodweb. But choose wisely, as each web can only hold two perks.

In addition to a nice wealth of playable characters, there are six locations which were created when the killers first became murderers. These include Backwater Swamp, Haddonfield, Crotus Prenn Asylum, Coldwind Farm, Autohaven Wreckers, and MacMillan Estates.

The graphics are great, definitely way above any expectations that skeptics of small studios may have. The sound effects are also wonderful. Together they really set the tone and mood of the game.

This is a great game for fans of small studio games and horror games alike. It also makes for a more unique gaming experience with friends, giving a much needed alternative to shoot-em-up games and Mario Kart.

This has been met with overwhelmingly positive reviews, even in spite of the fact that a lot of the scenarios are 'cliche'.
